You have to garden with the weather on the coast. You cannot fight it. If you learn how to do it right, it is very rewarding twelve months out of the year.

As a resident of the Crystal Coast, it is easy to choose to stay home and enjoy the area’s delights on a less crowded day of the year than the Fourth of July.

We did not move to the Carolina coast for cool breezes and colder water. We came for the warm breezes and warm waters.

The beaches were full, the bridge backed up with traffic and the Intracoastal Waterway was buzzing with boats, but I enjoyed some quiet time on the river.

I love being out on the water and seeing how far away the land is.

We were on a great boating cruise recently. It went to one of my favorite places, the area of marshes between Bear Island and the Intracoastal Waterway.
