Our technological infirmity

Author: ocracokewaves

A now sane individual who escaped the world of selling technology, now living in the rolling hills of the North Carolina Piedmont. I have been at one time or another, a farmer, a director for Apple, and a vice president at Wideopen Networks. I continue to pursue my love of photography and writing. I have great memories of boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and hiking the beaches along North Carolina's Southern Outer Banks where we lived for fifteen years.

A Quiet Memorial Day on the White Oak River

The beaches were full, the bridge backed up with traffic and the Intracoastal Waterway was buzzing with boats, but I enjoyed some quiet time on the river.

I love being out on the water and seeing how far away the land is.

Boating to the Birds

We were on a great boating cruise recently.  It went to one of my favorite places, the area of marshes between Bear Island and the Intracoastal Waterway.

I have enjoyed spending a week back in my uniform of shorts and t-shirt.  I am not pleased to have to give them up this weekend for bluejeans and a sweat shirt.  The warm days are just teasing us.
