In spite of the ice in this picture from earlier in the week, winter’s back is broken on the Crystal Coast.

Raymond’s Gut just up the river from Swansboro, North Carolina, froze in the wake of the Siberian Express. Ā Fortunately our freeze-up only lasted a little over a day. Ā This morning we had a little fog on the river but were ice free. Ā Our temperature managed to hit 66F this afternoon before heading back down.
