An escapee from the world of selling technology, now living on North Carolina's Southern Outer Banks where life revolves around sun, sand, and water.
I work at WideOpen Networks helping communities get fiber to their homes. In my spare time I am a photographer, writer, boater, fisherman, kayaker, swimmer, and walker of the beaches.

what is a skiff? emerald isle is where I used to spend my summers as a teenager, every year about a few days after summer break my dad gave me a ticket and I would stay with mysister I still want to move there but alas cannot convince my hubby, yet.
A skiff or at least the Carolina version is a flat-bottomed boat that is popular for navigating the shallow waters of Bogue Sound and rivers like the White Oak which enters Bogue Sound at Swansboro.
