Plenty of rain found us in the summer of 2015 but it was still a great summer. The first few days of October 2015 made us wonder if our streak of great falls would end. However after sloshing around for four days, a week of great drying weather has rescued us and we are back on track for another great fall.
You have to garden with the weather on the coast. You cannot fight it. If you learn how to do it right, it is very rewarding twelve months out of the year.
As a resident of the Crystal Coast, it is easy to choose to stay home and enjoy the area’s delights on a less crowded day of the year than the Fourth of July.

The beaches were full, the bridge backed up with traffic and the Intracoastal Waterway was buzzing with boats, but I enjoyed some quiet time on the river.
We were on a great boating cruise recently. It went to one of my favorite places, the area of marshes between Bear Island and the Intracoastal Waterway.
